Before engaging in any kind of self-work, ensure you centre and ground yourself so that you don’t drain your personal energy.
What to do:
Close your eyes and take three slow deep breaths.
Visualize a light in the core of your body. What you consider your body’s core is up to you; some people locate it around the heart, others, lower in the abdomen (solar plexus). What’s important is that it makes sense to you as the location of your core.
Visualize a line of light moving down from your core toward the ground. See it reach down through the surface, deep into the earth’s core. Now bring that line of light up into your body. Let the energy of earth fill you.
If you are tired or low on energy, you can use the earth energy to replenish or rebalance yourself.
This process can be easier to visualize if you imagine the earth’s energy as a different colour from your personal energy.
